It provides regional transmission organization (RTO) market management and trading services, such as set-up and registration of assets, real-time and day-ahead bids and offers, financial schedules, virtual bids and offers, transmission rights management, credit and contracts management, and RTO market settlement. It offers analytics and risk management services, including cash flow and rate at risk analysis, fuel and plant utilization variability analysis, hedging analysis and strategy development, locational marginal pricing analysis, risk management strategy development, RTO market strategy analysis, and RTO market readiness analysis; and advisory services, including portfolio design, regulatory and legislative, transactional due diligence, retail and aggregation, LMP market analysis, credit advisory, and risk advisory services. It provides bilateral power trading services, such as hourly/day-ahead/term/forward bilateral trading, transmission acquisition and management, tagging, settlement, bilateral contract management, and credit management; and natural gas management and trading services, such as natural gas purchasing/re-sales/balancing, storage management, transportation/pipeline management, settlement, natural gas contract management, and credit management. It offers risk management and hedging, and spark spread management services. The Energy Authority, Inc. was founded in 1997 and is based in Jacksonville, Florida with additional offices in Bellevue, Washington; and Portland, Oregon.
