In addition, it offers ATM and debit cards, cash management services, safe deposit boxes, and trust and fiduciary services; retirement plan consulting and administrative services; and investment management services. Further, the company engages in the reinsurance of private mortgage insurance and premium financing activities. As of December 31, 2012, it operated through 66 financial centers located in coastal South Carolina; and in the Florence and Greenville, South Carolina, as well as Wilmington, North Carolina. The company was founded in 1934 and is headquartered in Charleston, South Carolina. As of July 26, 2013, First Financial Holdings Inc. operates as a subsidiary of First Financial Holdings, Inc.
